The simple art of horse grooming
It seems to be a thing of the past but it is such a good way of increasing circulation and warming up the superficial muscles

Hello, I am Hayley Robinson and the founder of Equine Evolutions. I want to help your horses to be happy in their bodies and minds, to be free from pain and able to undertake any tasks with ease and comfort.
I have loved horses since I was born! I started riding at 11 and spent 4 years at an Equine College gaining a Higher National Diploma in Equine and Estate Studies. I worked in the industry for a few years, first at a hunt yard and then a Show jumping yard. I bought my first horse at age 26, he was a legend! Sadly, he is no longer with us, but he has been the motivation for my desire to learn about equine biomechanics. He had some issues and I wanted to learn if and/or how these issues could be prevented. I know there are many things that can affect a horse’s soundness but, there is a lot we can do to help them develop the required strength and balance so that they can perform with ease and with less risk of injury.
I am now a qualified Equine Sports Massage Therapist and BHS Stage 2 coach. I have completed further training in myofascial release, low level light therapy, equine psycology and the use of balance pads. I can teach you the art of long lining and lunging, as well as how to recognise pain in your horse and improve your bond with them. There are no secret tricks, it’s all about consistency and patience.
Horses are vulnerable to injury if they have not been developed properly or are being asked to do things they don’t have the strength to do comfortably.
Horses do not know how to use their bodies to its’ full potential. They need to be encouraged, by us, to engage their core in order to build a strong topline.
Not everyone understands how to develop a horses fitness, strength and balance. I can help you through this process with a structured program over a period of time.
I provide equine massage therapy and coaching, so you can learn the biomechanics of your horse and therefore, releasing its’ true potential whilst preventing injury.

My top tip for this week is all about your elbows! Do you find your horse struggles to be consistent with transitions, tempo, rhythm, relaxation
Another lovely friend and client of mine had the amazing Robert Pring out to have a chat with her horse, Ziggy. Lots of very relevant
